

Soon after, Ayo & Teo made a connection with record producer Jazze Pha who encourage them to try music. They often perform wearing their trademark bear mask. The duo started off as dancers in Usher’s “No Limit” video and Chris Brown’s “Party” shoot. As a result, YouTube became the launching platform for their successful careers. They became well known for their Reverse style of the popular dance move “Nae Nae.” With the constant release of fresh material and new dance challenges, the channel went viral and blew up.

The duo began uploading dance moves on the social media platform, YouTube. They honed their talent throughout elementary school and later establish a name for themselves.

Ayo & Teo grew up listening to the music of Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Usher, and Missy Elliot. The duo discovered their passion for dancing at a very young age. Ayleo was born on October 30, 1996, and Mateo on August 29, 1999. Ayleo and Mateo Bowles were born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The duo appeared in Usher‘s music video “No Limits” and Chris Brown‘s “Party.” Their 2017 hit single “Rolex” stormed the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at #20.
